5 ways to stay motivated at work

Hey guys! Sorry that I haven't been posting enough recently, but school has been crazy. Between that and my job, balancing responsibilities with my personal life is more difficult than ever. Since I was kind of short on time with this blog  and since I recently got a job  I thought it might be a good idea to throw together a little motivational post for all you working girls and guys. I hope this helps!

1. Make sure you have a reason to work. Whether you're saving up for a plane ticket (like me) or you just want to have some more pocket money, having a reason to do what you do helps you stay on task and away from quitting.
2. Remind yourself of that reason every time you feel down during your shift. For all those times you think Ugh it's Friday night and I bet my friends are all out together rn while I'm stuck at work, remember why you took the job in the first place and what it is that you're trying to accomplish. Believe me, it will help.
3. Go into work optimistic and positive. If you think happy thoughts, chances are you will actually start to feel happy.
4. Set goals for yourself at work. Think of it as a game where you're competing against yourself. You will start to look forward to your shifts and maybe even get excited to go to work if you set new records for yourself to break.
5. Prioritize! Take the occasional day off if you feel that you need some alone-time. I'm guessing that most of you guys are teenagers like myself, which means that you probably don't need a full-time job. Working is great and all, but you have your whole life to do that. Make your teenage years count!

P.S. I'm going on a pretty exciting trip in a couple of days so there will be a fun post relating to that coming up soon!
