BTS study essentials
Hey guys! So it's officially back to school season, and I couldn't be more excited. I mean I am definitely not looking forward to homework and tests and college applications, but in blog/youtube world, BTS is the best season. This post is the first of my upcoming several back to school posts (including a possible collab!), and so I thought I'd start off with the one you guys (and myself) might need most.
So, here are my study essentials! Whether this will help you in your school supply shopping or maybe motivate you to finish your summer reading assignments (like me), I thought I would include a couple of things that make studying (almost) bearable.
1. Coffee (and a cute coffee shop to go with it - my favorites are Starbucks and Aviano in Cherry Creek North) // Chances are, if you're anything like me, you cannot live without caffeine, so coffee is always a must. Heading out to a coffee shop to do your homework is an extra bonus, since you won't be tempted to procrastinate as much. (Btw, my Starbucks go-to is always just iced coffee with some half-and-half - even in winter!)
2. Planner // I got mine from Target and I absolutely love it. I am naturally a very organized person, but without the right essentials, I find myself less likely to get into the organizing mood. I got this planner more for organizing everyday life than school, but it has not left my side for weeks. I bring it everywhere! I promise that even if you are not known for your organizational skills, getting the right planner will change that.
3. Glasses // Okay so (fortunately) I was born with perfect eyesight, and so have never needed to wear glasses. That's why these ones have clear lenses. But before you think I'm weird for wearing them, I'd just like to say that wearing them has helped me motivate myself soooo much. I don't even know why, but there's just something about them that makes me feel on top of things. Not sure where mine are from because I got them from a friend, but lots of stores sell ones just like them!
4. Good playlist // This is perfect for both quiet study sessions and those rare rare times when your teacher lets you listen to your own music in class (well it's rare in my school anyway). Making a good playlist can both motivate you and help you to focus. Unfortunately I have mine on Apple Music so I can't share it with you guys :(
5. Cute pens // This makes me sound like a 3 year old but cute pens make note taking so much more fun, both at school and home!!! Plus, having color coded notes - even though it's super tedious - will help you study later on!
6. Shopping break // Taking a pause in studying to go shopping seems so counter-productive, but sometimes it's much needed. Going to your favorite mall even for 30 minutes can help you to relax and clear your mind (and put you in a better mood), so I guess it actually technically helps you to study better and more efficiently...right? Right??
Hope you enjoyed this back to school post and are excited for more to come! (+ also some videos!!)
xxo
